Tankworld Tasmania – Garden Bed Warranty
Effective Date: 1st July 2025
Condition at Time of Sale
Tankworld Tasmania garden beds are warranted to be free from defects in materials and workmanship at the time of purchase.
Each garden bed is inspected prior to dispatch to ensure it meets our quality standards. However, due to the intended purpose of this product—being filled with soil and exposed to water, moisture, and the elements—no manufacturer’s warranty applies once the product has been installed or used. Customers accept that exposure to environmental conditions will naturally lead to corrosion, weathering, and eventual deterioration.
Post-Purchase Use and Expectations
These garden beds are supplied without an ongoing manufacturer’s warranty and are fit for their intended purpose of outdoor gardening. Exposure to soil, water, and environmental elements will result in expected wear, including rust, corrosion, fading, and general deterioration over time. These effects are normal and do not indicate a fault.
By purchasing this product, the customer acknowledges and accepts full responsibility for its installation, use, care, and maintenance.
Warranty Exclusions
The following are not covered by any post-sale manufacturer’s warranty:
- Rust, corrosion, discolouration, or material degradation caused by water, soil, or environmental exposure.
- Cosmetic changes or surface wear that occur with normal use.
- Damage resulting from improper installation, physical impact, or mishandling.
- Damage from severe weather, flooding, or poor storage conditions.
- Alterations, modifications, or unauthorised repairs.
- Vandalism, misuse, or neglect.
Warranty Duration
No formal manufacturer’s warranty applies beyond what is required under Australian Consumer Law.
Making a Claim Under Australian Consumer Law
If you believe your garden bed was defective at the time of purchase and may be eligible for a remedy under Australian Consumer Law, please follow these steps:

Notify Tankworld Tasmania of the issue as soon as possible by emailing sales@tankworldtas.com.au. Include a brief summary of the problem in your initial message. -
Provide Documentation
To assist in assessing your claim, please include: - Proof of purchase (invoice or order number).
- At least three clear photographs of the product, including close-up images of the issue and the overall condition.
- A written description of the defect, including when you first noticed it and any relevant background.

Assessment of Claim
We will assess whether the product was defective at the time of sale and whether a remedy is available under Australian Consumer Law. -
Resolution
If the claim is accepted, we will offer one of the following remedies: - Repair of the product at no cost.
- Replacement with a garden bed of the same or similar model.
- Refund, full or partial, depending on the circumstances.
Tankworld Tasmania aims to resolve claims fairly and promptly in accordance with Australian Consumer Law.
Limitations of Liability
- Tankworld Tasmania’s liability is limited to the remedies available under the Australian Consumer Law.
- We are not responsible for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss or damage caused by the use of this product.
Transferability
This warranty statement applies only to the original purchaser and is not transferable.
Consumer Law Notice
Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if they fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure is not major.
